Just because you have no idea what a LAMP stack is doesn't mean there isn't a place for you at RightScale. We like smart marketers and account managers from many backgrounds, too. But come ready to quickly learn our product and technology.

9. All work and no play:

We acknowledge that kiteboarding, fine dining and flying planes with our coworkers can be challenging, but we make the best of it so we can get back to our cubes ASAP.

8. Strict dress code:

We're not required to wear our blue RightScale T-shirts, we just like to. Showing up in a suit blatantly screams that you are here for an interview — or that it's Laundry Day.

7. Long hours:

We don’t believe that working longer equates to delivering a better product, but we are committed to hitting our release dates and other deadlines and will adopt whatever process or non-process it takes to get the job done. Ever seen a finance department scrum?

6. The commute sucks:

"Dude, traffic was crazy today. My wife sideswiped me in the hallway and I was nearly taken out by my two-year-old. After 30 seconds I finally made it to my home office."

Which is helpful when you have too much fun at a company event and overshare with the CEO about your previous night's hookup.
