The RightScale Conference is a one-of-a-kind community event you won’t want to miss. We’re bringing together the entire RightScale ecosystem including users, partners, and those just beginning to explore the cloud. So whether you are C-level, hardcore sys admin or devops, or new to the industry, you will be able to talk to experts who have deep experience with cloud computing and RightScale.

Our event is hosted alongside the Cloud Computing Conference and Expo 2012 (Cloud Expo) so that you can maximize your time in New York. Registering for the RightScale Conference automatically registers you for both events – completely free of charge! Visit the Cloud Expo website

Zero-to-Cloud: Fundamentals

June 11
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Join us for this pre-conference event where you will learn the core concepts and fundamentals of the RightScale cloud management. Students will learn the basics and then move through some demonstrations as well as lab exercises where they will participate and work in a live RightScale account. Wondering how we bring the promise of cloud computing from hype to reality? If so, this is the place for you. Bring your questions and we'll bring our answers!

Developing MultiCloud ServerTemplates with Chef

June 11
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Want to learn next-generation system administration tools? How to develop MultiCloud solutions and software? If so, this is the workshop for you! Conducted by the actual programmers who have written our Chef-based MultiCloud ServerTemplates, this class is a highly technical, interactive, and practical developer-level training. As with our Zero-to-Cloud sessions, the emphasis is learning by doing. After you complete this session, you will know how to leverage Chef and RightScale best practices to build your solutions.

Only $499 (Early Bird $399)

Zero-to-Cloud: Pro

June 12
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

A follow-on course to the Zero-to-Cloud Fundamentals course, this training session focuses on building a fully enabled, 3 tier deployment, available and launched in the internet. You will roll your sleeves up with hands-on learning: installing, configuring, and launching Servers in the Cloud. At the end, you will have built a fully-functional 6 server deployment. And when we are done (time-permitting), we will "wind down" by introducing advanced topics and best practices.

Only $499 (Early Bird $399)

Prerequisite to Zero-to-Cloud Pro Training:

Attendees should be comfortable doing the following, or should have completed the Zero-to-Cloud Fundamentals course.

  • Create an SSH Key Pair.
  • Create a Security Group and set up permissions for development.
  • Create a Deployment.
  • Import a ServerTemplate from the MultiCloud Marketplace
  • Clone the ServerTemplate, and add it to a Deployment to create a Server.
