This script will install IBM Data Server Driver Package (DS Driver) 10.5. This package includes drivers to connect to DB2 for:
- JDBC and SQLJ
You will want to use this script [on boot] to enable your 64-bit Linux application server to connect to DB2 and Informix database servers. This script has been tested on CentOS, RHEL and Ubuntu. It may work on other systems. Feel free to modify it to suit your needs.
Note: This script installs the DSDrivers to "/opt/ibm/dsdriver" and sets up the environment for only the root user. To enable the DSDrivers for another user you can either issue the command:
# Add DSDriver environment to the current users .bashrc file. This will setup the DSDriver for subsequent shell sessions. echo "source /opt/ibm/dsdriver/db2profile" >> ~/.bashrc # Setup DSDriver environment for the current shell session source /opt/ibm/dsdriver/db2profile
