Description
This script provides the collectd plugin for monitoring file statistics and allows you to monitor the age and size of lockfile in "/var/run". It's used to monitor the backup status on databases and other critical processes. The name of the file(s) to monitor can be passed in via the OPT_MON_FILES input.
Description
Installs a plugin for collectd, which allows the user to monitor the size (in bytes) and age (in seconds) of files located in "/var/run". This is useful for monitoring lock files. The graphs will be displayed in the Dashboard under the Monitoring tabs as "file-<filename>". These monitored metrics can then be used to set alerts.
Note:
The files monitored with this plugin must be readable by the "nobody" account.
