Description

MongoDB

Description

The Best Features of Document Databases, Key-Value Stores, and RDBMSes.

MongoDB bridges the gap between key-value stores (which are fast and highly scalable) and traditional RDBMS systems (which provide rich queries and deep functionality).

MongoDB (from "humongous") is a scalable, high-performance, open source, document-oriented database.

MongoDB is a great new NoSQL Database and Document Store. The new 1.8.1 or better versions are very solid. Take a moment and update this template to use the new versions of MongoDB and not the 0.1.0 version of this template. If you need help call 10Gen.com or myCloudWatcher.com can help you update your MongoDB to the current LATEST version. Enjoy MongoDB!! This template does NOT provide MongoDB Backups or EBS support.

Doesn't work .. the mongo cookbook has moved. Tried fixing it but the chef knowledge required is above my head atm.

@Timothee Besset Fixed in Revision 8 (rev7 now deprecated).
