Technology

Trend Micro™ SecureCloud provides security for Public Cloud, Private Cloud and Hybrid clouds. Data is encrypted on a virtual machine before being written to any SCSI, iSCSI, NFS or IDE storage device and decrypted when read back. The symmetric encryption keys are managed by the SecureCloud Key Manager—which is available as SaaS hosted by Trend Micro or can be installed within your own datacenter.

SecureCloud's policy-based key management solution validates the identity and integrity of virtual machines requesting access to data. This system ensures encryption keys are released only into safe environments and gives data owners’ confidence that information remains secure. This key release process is achieved through numerous rules, such as checking network services running within the virtual machine; which helps SecureCloud assess the cloud environment’s identity and integrity. Some of the benefits include:

Partnership

Trend Micro and RightScale partnered to provide customers with an intuitive and automated way to protect sensitive data in the cloud. The Trend Micro RightScript takes AWS credentials and device configuration information as input and then performs provisioning of storage devices. Through the use of the published Trend Micro RightScripts, customers are able to encrypt sensitive data running in a multi-cloud environment.
